Since our beginning in 1934, The Chapel has upheld the teachings of the Bible, emphasizing Christ and our core values of grace, worship, community, mission, and integrity.
Throughout the years we have seen amazing expressions of these values through the advancement of local and global outreach, the expansion of spiritual growth ministries, and the duplication of our campuses.
With each season of our church’s history, a new vision resides in the hearts of our congregation. Once again we have an unshakable belief that God is working a specific purpose through us that none of us could ever imagine on our own.
Following 18 months of prayer, congregational input, study, and much discussion, The Chapel set off on a path to “Embrace Tomorrow.” This clear, compelling, and collaborative five-year plan will align our resources and actions in allowing God to work through us for the following:
To have God use us in a way that speaks his truth in love, drawing not-yet-Christians to a place of trusting in Christ. How exciting it will be to look around our congregation five years from now and see the excitement of the hundreds of people who have just entered into the abundant life of Christ.
To broaden the opportunity for how our congregation can experience various forms of worship in numerous campus settings and within communities strategically placed for greater missional impact.
To see well over half of our congregation fused within our primary environment for holistic, spiritual growth—the Adult Bible Fellowship or Home Adult Bible Fellowship.
As each ABF and HABF has an emphasis on growing together through biblical equipping and unconditional care, we are all passionate to see every ABF/HABF have a dynamic, local ministry partnership through which the group ministers to the important needs of our Northeast Ohio region.
Through various initiatives and thousands of volunteers, we desire to make some strong and tangible changes in the Northeast Ohio region on both a physical and spiritual level.
To expand the impact of Fresh Passion on the holistic ministry to the dishonored Dalits in India and the diseased villages of Mozambique, while deepening our global commitment of raising up Chapel missionaries and actively adopting an “unreached people” group.
This course for our church is more than an idea shared by a few or an emotion felt by some—it is a desire that has captured all of us, and we will do whatever we can to make this dream a reality.
Thank you for your part in forming this vision with us! During the next days, weeks, and years you will have many opportunities to invest and help fully awaken this dream.
We embrace Christ and his teachings. We embrace grace, worship, community, mission, and integrity. We embrace tomorrow.
