Celebrating Change, Luke 5:27-39
- Christ, in “partying” with Levi, takes the opportunity to challenge the Pharisees with their trust in traditions using the metaphor of wine and wineskins. Generally we will probe why it is so often “religious” people who struggle with change. And specifically we will challenge ourselves to Christ to introduce the necessary changes into our lives and church, beginning with the Gospel.

Christ: Our Constant in Our Transient World, Hebrews 13:14
- Using the words to the Hebrews and the context of their lives as our example, we are instructed to find our security, not in this transient city, but in God our Father through his Son Christ who is our constant, our “hometown” until we get home. I must break myself of the habit of thinking that “here” should be permanent and unchanging, that this transient city is a permanent one.
