Summer Fun: Singles Ministry

Julie Davis, Associate Ministry Director, Community

What would summertime be without friends and family to enjoy it with? The weather gets warmer and the days get longer and the sunshine draws us outside to play. I’m already feeling the restlessness of being inside and am looking forward to the sweet days of summer where fun and friends take center stage!

This summer, Chapel Singles has plenty of fun activities to connect with! At The Chapel’s Green Campus, Real Life (30+) hosts “Summer on the Green.” Each Wednesday, from 6:30-9:00pm, this group gathers to enjoy friendship, activities and conversation (kids welcome!). This year’s theme is “Wisdom for the Walk,” a study in the book of Proverbs. Real Life also has other outings scheduled through out the summer that would be great ways to get started enjoying the warm days and making new friends! Visit their Facebook page.

Another great way to connect with other singles adults can be found at our outdoors “Summer Nights” study (45+). “Summer Nights” meets each Friday night, beginning June 20 at 7:00pm, at Water Works Park (Peninsula shelter) in Cuyahoga Falls. (Click HERE for a map.) The theme for this year is “Good News for a World Gone Bad” and will feature a different awesome speaker each week! Bible study, fellowship and fun–what could be better?!

Summertime is a great time to meet new friends or just hang out with the “old” ones! If you’re a single adult at The Chapel, I hope you’ll come out and spend some time this summer with other singles, laughing, talking and building relationships that center on Christ. If you have any questions about other ways to connect, visit our Chapel Singles webpage or call 330.315.5910.
