FAQ

It can be overwhelming to go to a new place, but at The Chapel, we try to be a welcoming and warm group. So, let’s answer some common questions.

When and where are your services?

We have three campuses and a variety of worship services. If you’re heading to Akron Campus, the best place to park is in the University of Akron parking deck which is directly across Buchtel Avenue from the campus. Both Green and Wadsworth campuses offers plenty of parking.

How do I get to The Chapel?

What is a service like?

  • Singing is part of the worship experience. If you don’t know the words to the songs or would rather not sing, no problem. If all of this is kind of new to you, don’t worry. We have lots of guests who don’t have much church experience. We’re just glad to have you!
  • A pastor from our preaching team will present a message. The Bible is always the foundation for the sermon as we believe it has the answers to life’s biggest questions.

What do you offer for my kids?

We have great programs designed to be a positive experience for them. For children (birth–grade 5), use our secure electronic check-in system to drop them off at our Kids area before the service. For grades 6–12, check out our youth pages for Middle School & High School info.

  • Our hosts at the welcome centers or greeters by the doors will be happy to direct you to the kids and youth areas.
  • We suggest that you arrive at least 15 minutes before worship begins so that you have an easy time finding your way around the campus.

What about after the service?

Look for our Guest Connections tables or stop by a welcome center. Meet a campus pastor and campus hosts. They will answer questions, pray with you, or just chat. If you have a need and want to pray with one of our leaders, come to the front of the Worship Center after the service. We’re here to encourage and pray for you.

I can’t really get to know people during a church service. How do I get connected to a smaller community group?

Any new group of people can be intimidating, but we can help. Both in homes throughout the region, and at every campus, people are meeting in smaller gatherings that we call community groups. Contact Debbie at 330.315.5910 to help you find the right one, or visit our Community Groups page.

Wait, I still have questions.
