Baptism
We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. (Romans 6:4)
The consistent practice of the early Church was that as people heard the Word preached, they responded in faith, they confessed that belief publicly by being baptized, and became part of the life of the local body of believers. If we would obey our Lord and conform our practice to the New Testament pattern, we must do the same.
