The Chapel has joined many North American churches in the fight against HIV/AIDS in southern Africa. Specifically, The Chapel (with World Relief) has partnered with local churches in southern Mozambique to bring the good news of Christ and relief to two adopted villages, Chaimite and Koca-misava. HIV/AIDS is not just a medical issue as many may think. Rather, the fight must be holistic which means helping with sound agricultural practices, teaching trades like carpentry and canning food, providing potable water and conveying sound health practices. Showing the love of God, practically, through eye and dental care opens the door for people to hear teachings of the Bible. Ultimately, it’s a firm relationship with Christ that will eventually provide the morality base to fight and reduce HIV/AIDS.

These sets make village health training possible. Hundreds of World Relief and church volunteers teach thousands of families about malaria, diarrhea, pneumonia, nutrition, and HIV.

$100 will provide 500m² of drip irrigation piping. $200 will provide 1,000m². This will help a family become active in commercial agriculture, eliminating the need for the father to move away to find work (and likely contract HIV).
