Project Homeless Connect is a one-day, one-stop event designed to provide access to housing, services, and hospitality for people experiencing homelessness, loss of income, or financial difficulty.  

This event will be hosted by the Akron/Summit County Continuum of Care for the Homeless and will take place at The Chapel’s Akron Campus.

Volunteer

  • Individuals: Register here

Chaperone- Escort one of our guests around to the different services available.  

Barber/Beautician - You must be licensed by the State of Ohio.

Intake worker - You must be a licensed social worker or case manager in our community.

There are four different shifts: 

  • All Day 8:00am-5:00pm
  • 8:00-11:00am *Time most needed
  • 10:30am-1:30pm
  • 1:00-5:00pm 

Everyone must attend a volunteer training. Training dates: 

  • Thurs, April 19, 6:00-7:30pm 
  • Tues., April 24, 6:00-7:30pm
  • Wed., May 2, 3:00-4:30pm
