We need many volunteers to make this day a success!
There are four different shift options:
8:00-11:00 am
10:30 am-1:30 pm
1:00 pm-5:00 pm
8:00 am-5:00 pm
We are looking for three different types of volunteers.
Chaperones-Helps to escort guests through The Chapel based on their needs for the day.
Hairstylists - Provides haircuts for guests. We are seeking licensed stylists to provide this service, including those with experience cutting African-American hair.
Intake Workers- Case workers or LSW who can help with the intake process.
Note: If you are a medical provider who would like to donate your independent services the day of the event, please contact Amy at 330.315.5525.
Due to the nature of this event, all volunteers are required to attend a volunteer training. Please plan according. The dates for training are as follows:
Tuesday, April 26 at 3:00 pm (New Volunteers)
Wednesday, April 27 at 6:00 pm (Returning Volunteers)
Tuesday, May 3 at 3:00 pm (Returning Volunteers)
Thursday, May 5 at 6:00 pm (New Volunteers)
*All training sessions will be held at The Chapel's Akron Campus at 135 Fir Hill.
Project Homeless Connect is in need of agencies to provide services or give-away items the day of the event.
