If you recently got engaged, we first off want to say congratulations on that.
At The Chapel we are excited about marriage because God created marriage and God makes really good things, including relationships. So we would love to partner with you as you prepare for this awesome lifelong relationship.
However, because marriage is a God-thing first-and-foremost, we take it seriously at The Chapel and seek to be intentional about who we marry and how we prepare them for marriage. Our goal is to not just do weddings, but to build lasting, God-honoring marriages. In taking steps to achieve this goal we have established some basic requirements for getting married at The Chapel, as well as a process for preparing couples for marriage. If you would desire to get married at The Chapel, we ask that you please read over the marriage requirements and preparation packet (link below) which will explain the process of getting married at The Chapel.
If you have any questions, please contact our wedding director, Chris Isler at 330.315. 5530.
The importance of preparing for your marriage cannot be overstated. Therefore, pre-marriage counseling is a requirement and most couples will complete our 8-week class (unless counseling is arranged elsewhere). The class meets on successive Monday nights from 7:00–8:30pm at the Akron Campus and is offered in four sessions throughout the year.
If you choose to have your wedding elsewhere, we’d still like to support your marriage in any way we can. Please consider participating in the pre-marriage class or any of our community groups for engaged and newly married couples that meet at either campus. If you’re looking for a church home, why not visit us some Sunday?
We look forward to serving you. May the Lord bless your marriage!
