A Family Perspective—Room 352
A group of married couples ranging in age from mid-20s to early 40s who are interested in exploring their faith on a deeper level and discussing issues relevant to their lives as husbands and wives raising young families. Informal with a strong sense of community. Emphasis is on class interaction as we approach God's Word for both deeper understanding and practical application. We support First Glance and participate in a variety of other ministries such as Operation Christmas Child and adopting local families throughout the year. Sign up for this CABF.
Becoming One—Auditorium
Mostly young families in early to mid-thirties, we are focused on discussion and working to serve others by helping out in the community and by supporting missionaries. Sign up for this CABF.
Beyond Limits—Balcony Classroom
Our class is designed to build disciples among adults with developmental disabilities as we intentionally seek to remove barriers and incorporate people with disabilities into the life of the congregation. We also support Through the Roof ministries. Sign up for this CABF.
City Lights—Martin Center Middle Room
We exist to teach sound doctrine to all people - socially, economically, ethnically and culturally. Seeking to be evangelical in the city of Akron through local outreach, we build into the lives of every believer through discipleship lived out within the church and in the local community. Cords of Three AM—Room 260
We are primarily composed of “Empty Nesters” and have a discussion teaching style. Our class is involved in ministry and missionary support. Sign up for this CABF.
Focus—Martin Center North Room
40’s - 50’s with children of different ages, our mid-marrieds class is a fun, spiritually sound, and engaging group who are discussion oriented and very social. Our outreach includes: multiple missions trips, homeless ministry, missionary support, and Word on the Street. Sign up for this CABF.
Fellowheirs II—Learning Lab
We’re a caring, fun-loving class of prayer warriors and truth-seekers. We’re blessed with a rotation of teachers who present Bible lessons with their own unique personality and richness. Fresh Start—Martin Center South Room
We have a caring, supportive fellowship with an informal format for single adults who find themselves alone again after divorce, etc. and want to make a fresh start. We serve with adopted missionaries and locally with Chapel Divorce Recovery, Haven of Rest and APS. Sign up for this CABF.
From the Beginning—Akron Campus, Room 267
We’re a diverse group of mostly young families who try to foster a strong sense of community throughout the week, majoring on studying the Bible together on Sunday mornings and being discipled by “Homebuilders I ABF.” We have adopted missionaries and support Urban Vision. Sign up for this CABF.
Homebuilders II—Room 264
Our group is made up of mostly mid-married couples with a teaching style that involves discussion. We have several local ministries we support with our time and talents and we are a laid-back, social, fun-loving group that welcomes you! Sign up for this CABF.
Inheritors—Great Commission Room
We are a loving group of senior adults who care for each other and are looking upward with anticipation. We have adopted missionaries and serve locally at the Haven of Rest. Sign up for this CABF.
Journey of Faith—Martin Center - Knight Room 3
Our ABF is made of couples primarily in their late 20s - 40s. We grow in the Word, teaching from the scripture with life application topics and exegesis of the text. We do missionary support and serve at International dinners. Sign up for this CABF.
Kindred Spirit—Orchestra Room
We are a herd of old goats, some of whom have been together since ABFs were invented! From early thirties to seventies we are bound by our love for Christ, one another and those that the Lord sends in our direction, including missionaries. We enjoy making people feel at home in our class. Sign up for this CABF.
Ladies ABF—Room 261
We’re all ages, and all walks of life: single, married, widowed, divorced, etc. We study the Bible in discussion format and do activities monthly to get to know one another better on a more personal level. We support many missionaries and serve locally. Sign up for this CABF.
Lighthouse—Berean Room North
Our group is made of mid-life couples and singles. With a main teacher and two lay teachers, we learn yearly from the Old and New Testaments and study relevant topics for daily Christian living. We support two children through Compassion International and serve at the Haven of Rest. Sign up for this CABF.
Married & More—Room 262
We are a wide-range of mid-marrieds contributing to a strong community feel with regional care groups, fun activities, and a very interactive teaching style that draws the class to the Bible and together. We serve at the food pantry as needed. Sign up for this CABF.
New Beginnings—Fellowship Hall
Our group is for those in a blended family or considering the possibility in the future. We have relevant, honest, practical discussions with application for everyday life. We study the principles of God’s Word while building friendships. We support missionaries and serve at the Haven of Rest. Sign up for this CABF.
New Life Fellowship—Room 263
We’re a group of couples and singles, 40’s and 50’s, who are very devoted to one another. We teach in- depth Bible Study and practical application with discussion, teaching, and sometimes small groups. With a strong emphasis on missions, we often have mission’s speakers or reports in our class. Sign up for this CABF.
Prime Time—Dining Room
We are a large group of married and single senior adults aged 55 and up. The teaching content can be a complete book series or topical. We include social activities, including many local ministries, and we split into care groups to support one another. Sign up for this CABF.
Sojourners—Berean Room South
We are nearly all retirees in our sixties to eighties. Good at comforting and caring, we help one another and have a prayer chain to remember each other before our Heavenly Father. Many of our number are involved in a host of volunteer ministries. Sign up for this CABF.
Sonrise—Conference Room
Empty Nesters from late 40’s to late 60’s, we are bound together by Christ and teach directly from the Bible, usually book by book. Members say that they stay because they were made welcome! We help with international dinners and support a missionary. Sign up for this CABF.
Together in Christ—Martin Center Library
Mostly in our 40’s and 50’s, we’re a smaller and intimate group with both married couples and singles. We enjoy having visitors and will welcome anyone! Our teaching style is lecture oriented. In addition to individual outside ministries, we support missionaries and help maintain the local missionary house. Sign up for this CABF.
Touching Lives for Christ—Room 265/266
We are a larger group of empty nesters with a discussion oriented teaching style. Our group is generous, supportive, service-oriented, and we have lots of fun socials. We've adopted missionaries and are involved in APS, Urban Vision, and the International Dinners. Sign up for this CABF.
