Membership

What does membership mean?

Becoming a member indicates you are committing to partner and lead with us in our mission to share the good news of Jesus. You become more integrated to a local church—The Chapel—and in a larger sense, the body of all believers around the world. 1 Corinthians 12—14 talks about being a “member” of the “body,” that each part has a function and is important to the rest of the body. It’s a great analogy for church membership.

All that babble to say, we hope you’re ready take that next step. The doors are open. Come on in!

Easy steps to becoming a Chapel covenant-member

  • Attend Foundations of Faith class or listen to the audio version
  • Take part in a “Get2KnowU” appointment with a Chapel pastor or staff member
  • Register for and attend a one-session membership class
  • Be publicly received into covenant-membership during the worship service you attend

When’s the next class?

The class is a one-session class on either a Tuesday night or a Saturday morning. You will enjoy a meal together with other new members and hear teaching from our Senior Pastor, Paul Sartarelli, and our Campus Pastors, Mike Castelli (Green Campus), Jon Platek (Akron Campus) and Zac Derr (Wadsworth).
