Here, There, and Everywhere
Last Sunday, Sue and I worshipped at New Community Bible Fellowship in Cleveland Heights where I gave the morning messages. Two things stuck out: While enjoying the friendship and expressions of love we received, it will be good to be home this Sunday. Secondly, it was a great reminder of how new “community” church projects often flourish! Though it‘s been a number of years since I (and Riverwood) had the privilege of helping Pastor Kevin James and his wife Tanya plant New Community, it‘s great to see how God has established such an effective ministry reaching into the neighborhoods of greater Cleveland.
On Sunday, Pastor Mike Landis and I will be leading another prayer time out at Camp Carl. The purpose of our prayer gatherings is to seek God’s face with regards to his will and timing of potentially launching a new Chapel site on our camp grounds. On a weekly basis, Mike and his wife Sherri lead Bible studies with the possibility that these may evolve into the beginnings of a Sunday worshipping community.
