Believer Beware
The warning from the Apostle John is clear and persistent, “Be careful you are not led astray.” Like a good shepherd trying to lead his flock into the right and good pastures, John is concerned about the very real potential of any one of us choosing the wrong paths; being allured by the newest and popular ideas; turning from the Lord who loves and desires our best. We all know and can name friends who used to follow Christ, and for one reason or another have found the Christian way no longer appealing or necessarily best. Maybe you are heading there even now. Please reconsider. Let’s heed the Scriptures’ many warnings, and by God’s grace, choose the pastures of life that Christ has for us.
